Hudson Got Sick

Well dad gave me my first cold. Snotty nose, not eating well, fevers to 103. Good thing I was 12 weeks old else I would have got the lumbar puncture. Mom and dad let me sleep in their bed but I could tell dad wasn't too happy with that arrangement but it was nice to snuggle next to mommy and have her kiss my head.

Dad bought a piece of crap humidifier to put in my room to help my cough..but all it does is blow air and make noise. My fever came down with the help of Tylenol and Motrin, but I still have a poor appetite and like to vomit a lot after coughing so I'm making grandma come back for another day.

Mom and dad are scrathing their heads trying to arrange for emergency care when needed...mom wants Mrs. Doubtfire to ring the doorbell and dad wants anyone with a pulse. Hopefully I will start feeling better and I can start holding down my antibiotics...right now I just spit them up mostly.

The doctor said I had an ear infection but secretly mom looked and didn't see one. It's ok...I started feeling better already so it must be working on whatever it is.

Dad got to use the grill finally today after Mark brought his propane tank out of cold storage. Dad was happy and cooked an entire package of bacon for BLTs. I'm sure it will help mommy make good milk too. Hopefully I'll be better by then so I can enjoy it.

Trying a New Video Service

I'm almost 3 months old!

Projects on the House

Well dad has been off work for about 2 weeks and has been dealing with a really bad cough from a sinus infection. Regardless, he has been able to get some things done inbetween me screaming, pooping and eating...something every 15 minutes to keep his eyes on me. Here are some things he has been able to do in the past several weeks.
He put in a peephole so that we can see outside. Since mom wanted nobody to see inside this is our only way to see to the front yard.

Dad put in in-ceiling speakers for surround sound. This is the first part of the installation before the whole house audio.

Programmable thermostats so that we can keep the house the right temperature while mom and dad are at work and I'm at daycare.

A cat door so Molly can come and go into the basement to use her potty.

A new low-voltage wiring panel for the phones, alarm, cable, and home audio controls (the white box).

Here's a look inside. I know, its confusing.

Water heater wrapped to keep it warm at night.

A temperature controlled fireplace blower (you can't see it cause its on the inside).

Keyless entry in case dad and mom forget their keys or we go swimming we can leave the keys at home.

Garage door opener so that we can get into and out of the garage.

Ceiling fan in guest bedroom so when grandparents come visit they don't burn up since I like the temperature roasting.

Dad painted this old chest of drawers red. I think he should have lightly sanded it first since the paint may have a hard time sticking to the particle board veneer.
Valence was hung over my windows.

Dad put this bookshelf together to give me a place to put my books and my toys.

Now in the laundry and the closets automatic lights have been installed since dad has a hard time remembering to turn lights off.

Recessed lighting in the master bedroom to highlight stuff we will eventually put on the plant ledge.

We have no deck so dad put this birdfeeder in so that we could have some enjoyment of the back yard mud.

Somewhat harder to see is a squirrel feeder on the common ground behind the house. We saw a squirrel out there the other day and we are hoping to get him in closer so that Molly can say hi.

Giggles

So we have been really busy as you can tell by the paucity of posts. Anyway, I put together a video of Hudson giggling this morning. I cropped out all the puke parts so its not too messy.

Hudson vs Angie

So in all fairness, mom found a baby picture of her too .... she think there's plenty of her in Hudson as well! At least the eyes ... right?

Hudson vs Brian

Mom dug up some old photos of me and we thought they would be interesting to compare to Hudson. I color corrected them to match each other. Notice the hands.

Dad and Brian...notice the pacifier.
