Easter Bunny 2007

Our annual Easter photo - this year went better than expected ... for us. Hudson was a little disappointed the Easter Bunny would not eat the Hershey kisses he brought. Many of them seemed to fall right back out of the bunny's mouth. Notice the handful of chocolates and if you can zoom on the bunny's lower lip, you'll see one Hershey's kiss that stayed in.
Happy Easter to all!

And in other news... Brian actually flew his plane this week with NO crashes. We are so proud. But now his car decided not to start. That is, until it arrived by tow truck to the Honda dealership. After a night's rest and a few hundred bucks, it decided to start again all on it own. The "strangest thing" according to the Honda service man. Is it because the catalytic converter cover is still missing? (ha).

Decorator Photos

We took a few pictures of the finished rooms ... the photos don't seem to do it justice, as she added some nice details and touches that are better seen in person.

Spring Fever 2007

We are very happy that spring has finally arrived. Dad finally turned on the sprinklers (after putting the springs in the backflow device in the right way the massive deluge stopped). Hudson is much better now that he's fully therapeutic on antibiotics and we caught him in his new favorite place - OUTSIDE!

Everyday when we get home from work he has to be outside and playing. Too bad its still light out when its his bedtime. The good news is that he seems to be back to his old self. He has become very adept at pointing to body parts and imitating bears - "ROAAARR" he says with both hands up over his head.

Mom and dad are doing well. We are expecting the decorator to come and finish up in the house so that is exciting. On a sad note, the new plane crashed before mom could even get the camera started. Seems dad had the motor wired backwards so when dad fired it up, it flew backwards, hit a pole and ripped the tail off. Dad cried.

Well the bill for the ER was only $5000 dollars, interesting what 2 tubes of blood, an X-ray and 2 hours of observation run these days. Good thing Hudson is well worth it.

See you at the next blog update.

My First Emergency Room Visit

Well, another hurdle with our child... and we all came out ok. This picture is at the end of our ER visit when Hudson was feeling better, however he gave Mom and Dad a small scare. He had a cold earlier this week... snot, cough, fevers...but was feeling better and started playing yesterday (although not eating many solids but he was drinking juice ok). He went to daycare today and they called Mom to let her know that he was a little "klingy" and crying some .... which is NOT like Hudson at all. Mom was at a meeting, and left early to get him. Hudson then proceeded to cry unconsolably for the next 3 hours. NOTHING would calm or soothe him and his cry was very unlike his normal whine when he doesn't feel good. Mom got nervous that something had changed, so she hauled the family to the ER. After labs and xrays, the best we could come up with was an ileus ("lazy bowel" from his virus) and a corneal abrasion (scratch in his eye).

Needless to say, at the end of the ER visit .... 4hours later..... with no meds or therapies, he was giving the nurses "high five" and waving bye bye to everyone, including his new friend, Dr. Peterson. We're not sure what was the fix, but he is resting now at home and even ate a few bites of Steak and Shake before going to bed.

A new hurdle for us .... we made it, but boy are we tired too!!
